American scientists have successfully tested the work of “neuropust” in the nerves and muscles of rats. In the future, such microscopic, ultrasound-powered wireless sensors will make it possible to monitor the entire body, including recording the activity of neurons deep in the brain. Experiments with prototypes in vivo are described in an article published by the journal Neuron.
