To remove science from fantasy would mean returning to the pre-religious type of fantasy, to the fires of Paleolithic caves, where experienced hunters told fears about winged dragons and white unicorns. It is curious that “pure” science fiction published in the West is not much different from such free inventions; its heroes fly on dragons, end up in unreal societies on some primitive planets, while themselves turning into savages. Logic, causality, dialectics are violated, everything goes to hell in the name of separation from science. There is no doubt that this imaginary liberation will lead literature to nothing other than degradation. Just like the thoughtless use of the fruits of science and the growth of material values.
