For the first time in history, an international team of scientists has created artificial neurons that behave exactly like real ones. After passing clinical trials, the development will allow the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, as well as the creation of new pacemakers to activate neurons that regulate the functioning of the heart. The study was published in the journal Nature Communications.
