Even if life expectancy increases significantly in the future, it is unlikely that centenarian representatives of our species will shine in health, much less roam the expanses of space. But how, in this case, can we prolong the very existence of our civilization, especially in view of the numerous threats facing humanity? The answer probably lies in the combination of machines and humans. The ever-increasing rate of advancement in technology and neuroscience, coupled with the creation of supercomputers, advanced body parts and artificial limbs, is paving the way for the fusion of man and machine. It is possible that we will witness the emergence of the cyberpunk era. But what will the people of the future be like?
