A month ago, American startup Kernel announced about the beginning of the development of an implant to improve memory and learning in people with impairments of these functions - for example, Alzheimer's disease. The scientific director of the project was Theodore Berger from the University of Southern California, who suggested model of activation of hippocampal neurons in the process of perception and memorization of information, as well as showed the ability to specifically stimulate such activity in the hippocampus of mice and even primates.
